Lithium systems give you more usable capacity out of each battery. For example, a 100Ah AGM battery gives you 50% usable capacity, or 50Ah. The same 100Ah Lithium battery gives you 100% usable capacity – twice that of the AGM. So you can either have half as many batteries, or get twice the capacity!

They also recharge quicker.

Keep in mind though, that you need specialised charging equipment to ensure the battery is protected from overcharging.
