Caravan awnings can easily be damaged – by brushing up against overhanging branches or building awnings or heavy storm or weather conditions. In the most extreme cases, the awning hardware can be pulled right out of the sidewall of your van. I've seen one pull out and blow right over the top of the van, and cause damage to the other side! The best cure is prevention – by pulling in the awning before any extreme weather – BUT, we all know that's not always possible! You might be away for the day, or sometimes the weather just comes on too fast, and its too dangerous to deal with it.
So, if your caravan or motorhome awning needs repair or replacement, give us a call or email and we can discuss options.
If you have a small tear in the vinyl roof section it is possible to repair using a bonded patch, but larger tears can require the entire vinyl "skin" to be replaced. If the awning hardware – legs, roller tube etc – is damaged, they need to be replaced. Any finally, if the mounting brackets bolted onto the the wall have pulled out, they need to be re-fixed, sometimes included repair to the sheeting / side-wall.
