Versatile portable dual battery systems use the Thumper brand battery pack, or the new Engel Smart Battery Box. This gives you the easy option to remove the auxillary battery from your vehicle. This is great for running portable 12V fridges like Engels and Waeco – because when you setup camp, you can remove the battery from your vehicle and leave at the camp site. These systems come with DC-DC chargers that ensure the battery is fully charged while driving, and produces a much higher charge level than charging direct from an Andersen plug connection.

Fixed dual battery systems use a battery mounted in the vehicle – either under the bonnet, or on the chassis. We use a range of quality mounting frames from Piranha off-road equipment. We fit smart-charging systems as part of the install which ensure your starter battery is always recharged first, and never flattened.
