Caravan gas regulators commonly require replacement. They can be fragile components and are affected by dust and poor quality gas from cylinders. More recently we have found many of the stainless steel braided pig tail hoses deteriorating and destroying the regulators. 

Also, if you caravan is more than 10 years old, you may find that your regulator is no longer compliant.
