Follow these four tips to take care of the exterior of your caravan and protect the value of your investment:
- Protect your caravan from the weather. If you don’t store your caravan undercover then a caravan cover is the best way to protect your caravan from storms and damaging UV rays. Roof hatches, air conditioners and awnings are the most vulnerable parts of your caravan and are best covered to prevent cracking and deterioration in the weather. We recommend ADCO All Climate Caravan Covers as they are lightweight, easy to fit quality covers that come with a 3 year warranty. We stock covers for all sizes of caravans, pop-tops and camper trailers
- Make your van sparkle. Rinse and wash your caravan with a soft broom and a quality cleaning detergent suitable for vehicles. We do not recommend using a pressure cleaner as you may damage seals and force water into the van. Use a ladder to access the roof. Clean solar panels with soapy water and a soft broom or cloth. Rinse with fresh water and dry with a cloth to remove any spots on windows.
- Awnings get special treatment. Awning cleaner is the best product for removing dirt, stains and mould from your awning as it won’t deteriorate the vinyl.
- Clean the vents and filters. Air conditioner filters and exterior vents collect dirt and dust. Replacement filters are available.
